Improve Conversion on Your Dental Website

One of the keys to attracting new dental patients with online advertising is a great website. Of course, the question is, what makes a great dental website? And how do you go about creating one (or turning your current site into one) so you can entice patients and turn them into clients?

Based on my experience working with dozens of dentists, here are 10 great things you can do with your website to help you effectively market your dental practice, build your credibility as a quality healthcare professional, and turn your online advertising into a patient generating machine:

1) Post a picture of you and your staff. This helps personally connect you to your potential patients.

2) Include your bio. The client can find out more about your background, education, and expertise in your field, so he can make a more informed decision.

3) Show a picture of your office. The patient knows what they are prepared for: They can see how comfortable and high-tech your office is before they even walk in!

4) Make new patient forms available. Providing the forms on your dental website helps you run your dental practice more efficiently, as patients can fill them out before they come in for an appointment.

5) Include a full address in the header (not just a general area location). So clients can find you!

6) Prominently display a map of the location on the website. This also helps clients find you easier.

7) Leverage logos that sell your business. A good dental website promotes your strongest selling points. If you were rated #1 Dental Practice in Arizona by Arizona Magazine, for example, make sure to advertise that front and center! You should also include testimonials: It is important for clients to see that others have had positive experiences with your dental office.

8) Show off promotions and coupons. Special offers and promotions should be front-and-center on your website as part of good dental marketing strategy. This way, the client is informed about any special savings they can get at your dental practice.

9) Use lighter color themes. Dental marketing experience has shown that lighter colors on dental websites have a lower bounce rate. So you should keep the design viewer-friendly.

10) Place relevant images. Use images on your dental website that target the demographics of your area and your dental area of focus.

Follow these tips and you’ll be on your way to getting more patients from your dental website!
